Georgian Curriculum
Decision on Enrollment
The school principal makes decisions regarding the enrollment of students in individual classes at the basic or secondary levels, taking into account the requirements established by the current legislation of Georgia and the availability of places at the school.
Upon making a positive decision, the principal issues an individual administrative legal act (order) on the student’s enrollment.
The school ensures that data regarding the enrolled student and the corresponding order are entered into the General Education Management Information System (EMIS) within two working days from the date the order is issued.
Application for Enrollment
To apply for enrollment in a specific class at the basic or secondary level, the following must be submitted:
An application from the adult student, or in the case of a minor, from the parent/legal representative. The application must include:
Information about the applicant and the student being enrolled;
Residential address and contact telephone number;
The request for enrollment;
A list of attached documents;
Date of submission and the applicant’s signature.
Documents to Be Submitted
The application must be accompanied by:
In the case of a minor student, a copy of the parent’s or legal representative’s ID card, and, if available, a document confirming residence in Georgia;
A certificate issued by the previous educational institution or another document recognized by Georgian legislation confirming completion of the level of education preceding the class to which the student is applying.
Applicants who have completed their previous education abroad are exempt from submitting this document if their education has been officially recognised in Georgia.
Interview
1. When enrolling a student, the school interviews the student. Through interviews and testing, the level of knowledge of the English language and mathematics is verified, and the field of interests is examined, according to which students are subsequently offered various projects/activities.
As a result of the same interview, the student’s interests and opportunities for career planning are also determined.
2. Within the framework of the international programme, the school offers students various subjects within the subject group of foreign languages and mathematics as additional services (e.g., mathematics and statistics, business fundamentals, economics, accounting, SAT (verbal and mathematical parts), etc).
